Here's a Dixie Highway sign near Cincinnati.We had fun visiting family and friends up north this week in Toledo, Ohio. It was 25° F when we left this morning, and we're so glad to be heading south.

Where is the Dixie Highway?
The Dixie Highway was a series of interconnected roads that linked Florida to the Great Lakes region in the early 20th century. Interstate 75 is the highway that links Florida to Detroit today. Route 41 runs from Michigan to Miami. Route 41 is called "Old Dixie Highway" in Georgia, and the "Tamiami Trail" in Florida.
