What a beautiful day at the beach. There were only a few people here today. We think it's because kids are back in school. We had no problem finding parking.

Where is the Dixie Highway?
The Dixie Highway was a series of interconnected roads that linked Florida to the Great Lakes region in the early 20th century. Interstate 75 is the highway that links Florida to Detroit today. Route 41 runs from Michigan to Miami. Route 41 is called "Old Dixie Highway" in Georgia, and the "Tamiami Trail" in Florida.
